A 4-day safari visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Bogoria in Kenya offers a diverse range of natural wonders and wildlife experiences. Lake Nakuru, known for its once vibrant flamingo populations and endangered black and white rhinos. Lake Naivasha, where boat safaris reveal hippos and birdlife against a backdrop of volcanic mountains. Lake Bogoria, famed for its geothermal springs and flocks of flamingos, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and geothermal activity. Each destination provides opportunities for wildlife encounters, scenic landscapes, and cultural immersion, creating a rich and varied safari experience in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
Pick up from Nairobi Hotel.
This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley.
Stop at the Great Rift Valley View Point. The Great Rift Valley is a geographical and geological feature running north to south for around 6,400 kilometers, from northern Syria to central Mozambique. Astronauts say it is the most significant physical detail on the planet that is visible from space.
Arrive for lunch at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort.
Depart for visit to the Lake Bogoria Hot Springs in the afternoon.
Over 2 million flamingos are known to occupy Lake Bogoria at any one time. They can be found here at any time of year, making the lake one of the best spots to see flamingos.
Besides the dazzling display of fuchsia pink lesser flamingoes and a small number of greater flamingoes blanketing the lake, the area features over 200 steaming volcanic springs. Most of these lies alongside the lake, but a few feeds into the lake floor itself.
In various locations around and within the lake up to 10 geysers can be spotted, their plumes rising up to 5m (16ft) high. In all, the park contains more geysers than any other spot in Africa – a total of 18.
You can go to Bogoria to see the flamingoes, do cycling or boil an egg in the hot springs.
