This tour offers an unparalleled adventure through Northern Tanzania’s most iconic natural attractions and wildlife.
After pick up at the Arusha hotel or the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will head for Ngorongoro crater. You will have an opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino and large families of lions. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grass. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park. Leaving the highlands behind, you will descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eyes can see. You will head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will enjoy a game drive en route to the campsite.
After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the Serengeti National Park. The wildebeest migration normally passes through the area in April & May. However, the Seronera area is within reach of both the southern plains and the Western Corridor. The resident game in the area is phenomenal and species such as elephants, buffalos, gazelles, zebras, lions, and a variety of other predators and herbivores can be seen here all year round.
After breakfast, you will head towards the western reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Western Corridor. You will do a game drive en route from the Seronera area to the Western Corridor area. Your overnight stay will be at the campsite. The meal plan is full basis.
After breakfast at your accommodation, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game-viewing drive with a picnic lunch. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants and Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. You’ll also see large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. You will have lunch at a picnic site and afterwards, further game viewing. Later, you will head to your lodge for dinner an overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Arusha with packed lunches for drop off or transfer to the airport.
