Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare

Meet and pick up from Nairobi Hotel.

Depart for Aberdare National Park.

Aberdare National Park has a variety of habitats that are host to a variety of animals that include the African elephant herds, the huge forest hog, leopards, buffaloes, reed bucks, the black rhinoceros, hyenas, the bongo antelope, the warthog, the Genet cats, wild dogs, the elands, the Columbus monkey, the red duiker, the baboon, the Sykes monkey, among others, as well as a profusion of birds that live in this region.

Arrive for lunch and check in at The Ark Lodge.

Depart for an afternoon game drive.

Day 2: Aberdare - Meru

Breakfast at the lodge and check out.

Depart for Meru National Park.

Drive through the Mount Kenya region which offers the very best sceneries you can dream of; from the views of Mount Kenya on a good day, hills and mountains, valleys to the various plantations.

Arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch, check in and get ready for an evening sunset game drive.

Return to the camp before darkness for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Meru

Breakfast at the camp.

Depart for morning game drive.

Visitors can see Grevy's zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and more than 427 recorded species of birds.

Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to Rhino Sanctuary.

Dinner and overnight at Rhino River Camp or similar. (Full Board)


Day 4: Meru - Samburu

Breakfast at the camp and check out.

Depart for Samburu National Park.

You will stop briefly enroute at the Equator Crossing point.

Arrive Samburu in time for lunch.

Relax after lunch and then take an afternoon game drive at 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

Samburu offers great wildlife viewing and four of the Big Five are present. Rhinos are absent, but herds of elephant cross the reserve. Of the big cats, leopards are commonly seen, with some high-quality sightings possible. Most interesting are the northern Kenya specials, often called the Samburu Five: Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich and gerenuk. Samburu is one of few parks where you can see the lesser kudu.

Return to the camp by evening.

Day 5: Samburu

Breakfast at the camp.

Depart for full day game drives.

Samburu National Reserve in Kenya offers a unique safari experience, distinguished by several key features. Firstly, its arid landscape, dotted with rugged hills and Ewaso Nyiro River, provides a stunning backdrop and supports a diverse ecosystem. Unlike other reserves, Samburu is home to rare species such as Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk, often referred to as the ‘Samburu Special 5'.

Day 6: Samburu – Lake Nakuru

Breakfast at the lodge and check out.

Depart for Lake Nakuru via the Meru – Nyahururu road.

Arrive for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

After lunch depart for exciting afternoon game at Lake Nakuru National Park.

The park is no longer home to its once famous flamingo flocks, but it remains a world class game drive destination. Four of the Big Five are present (with elephants being the notable absence), with both buffalo and rhinoceros being especially common in the park.

You'll enjoy a day long game drive along the shores of Lake Nakuru taking in its diverse variety of both animal and bird life.

The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 7: Nakuru – Bogoria

Breakfast at the resort, check out and depart for Lake Bogoria.

Arrive for check in at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort.

After lunch, depart for visit to the Lake Bogoria Hot Springs in the afternoon.

Over 2 million flamingos are known to occupy Lake Bogoria at any one time. They can be found here at any time of year, making the lake one of the best spots to see flamingos.

Besides the dazzling display of fuchsia pink lesser flamingoes and a small number of greater flamingoes blanketing the lake, the area features over 200 steaming volcanic springs. Most of these lies alongside the lake, but a few feed into the lake floor itself.

In various locations around and within the lake up to 10 geysers can be spotted, their plumes rising up to 5m (16ft) high. In all, the park contains more geysers than any other spot in Africa – a total of 18.

You can go to Bogoria to see the flamingoes, do cycling or boil an egg in the hot springs.

Day 8. Bogoria - Naivasha

Breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Naivasha.

Lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Lake Naivasha is famous for its high populations of hippos and flamingos. There are over 1,500 hippos in the area, and you are almost guaranteed to see one.

The lake is a birder’s paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species. Lesser and greater flamingos flock to the lake, forming a wash of bright pink across the lake's surface.

Giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks can be sighted in the immediate vicinity of Lake Naivasha, around Crescent Island, Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, and Longonot National Park. Lucky adventurers may even glimpse a leopard.

Optional activities boat ride at Lake Naivasha or visit to Crescent Island.

Day 9. Naivasha - Nairobi

After Breakfast client check out of the Hotel.

Depart for Nairobi.
