Day 1Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, spend the day relaxing or visit local attractions such as Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Mabamba Wetland (home to the rare shoebill stork) or Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (optional boat trip)

Day 2Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive southwest (approx. 6–7 hours) to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying views of Uganda’s countryside, crater lakes, and tea plantations. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species.

Overnight: At your preferred lodge in or near Queen Elizabeth NP

Day 3Chimpanzee Trekking – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart with packed lunch and drive to the Mweya Peninsula, a scenic area with sweeping views and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers some of the best wildlife viewing in East Africa, with frequent sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and hundreds of waterbirds. Proceed to Bwindi, arriving in time for check in and dinner.

Day 4Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Visit

After breakfast and park briefing, begin your gorilla trek. Hike through dense rainforest terrain (1–6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location) with experienced rangers until you encounter a habituated gorilla family. You’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing these incredible primates up close. After picnic lunch in the forest, later a Batwa community to learn about their ancestral forest lifestyle, hunting traditions, and cultural heritage.

Day 5Flight to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi Airstrip for your scenic domestic flight back to Entebbe. On arrival, connect to your international flight or proceed with onward travel.
