After an early breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, located in eastern Rwanda. Enjoy views of rolling hills and rural life along the way. Upon arrival, embark on an exciting game drive, where you may spot: Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, Lions and other savannah predators, A variety of antelope and bird species. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat safari on Lake Ihema, home to: Pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles and Over 500 bird species

After breakfast, begin your journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park, located in the southwest of Rwanda. En route, stop at The King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza – Discover Rwanda’s royal traditions and meet the Inyambo (sacred long-horned cows). Continue your drive through scenic tea plantations and mountainous terrain, arriving in Nyungwe by evening.

Wake up early and set off by 5 am for your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Led by expert trackers, you’ll trek through ancient rainforest to observe chimpanzees as they Forage for food, Swing through the trees, socialize and play. After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, take on the thrilling Nyungwe Canopy Walk — a suspended bridge 60 meters above the forest floor offering panoramic views and sightings of monkeys and exotic birds.

After breakfast, depart Nyungwe for Volcanoes National Park in the northwest. This scenic drive takes you through the heart of Rwanda’s iconic hills and valleys. Upon arrival and check-in, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where you’ll watch traditional Rwandan dances, learn about local customs and medicine, as well as Interact with the community and artisans

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing and registration. With your group and park guide, begin your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure. Trekking time varies depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Once located, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. After trekking, return to your lodge for lunch, then transfer back to Kigali. Finally, transfer to the airport or your Kigali hotel for departure.
