Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, you may choose to relax or explore nearby attractions such as Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Mabamba Swamp for shoebill stork spotting, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary (optional boat trip)
Overnight: At your preferred hotel in Entebbe
After breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive north (approx. 5–6 hours) to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through the Luwero Triangle and enjoying views of local towns and roadside markets. Stop for lunch in Masindi, then continue into the park. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the northern sector of the park.
Dinner & Overnight: At your preferred lodge in Murchison Falls National Park
Start the day with early morning coffee and a sunrise game drive. Explore the Buligi Circuit, known for its dense concentration of wildlife including giraffes, elephants, lions, buffalo, antelopes, and more. Enjoy a bush breakfast in the wild before returning to the lodge. After lunch, set out for a 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and countless waterbirds along the riverbanks. Enjoy spectacular views of the thundering falls from below.
Dinner & Overnight: At your preferred lodge in Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, visit the Top of Murchison Falls to witness the powerful Nile squeeze through a 7-meter gorge—perfect for photos and awe-inspiring views. Then, begin your scenic drive (approx. 7–8 hours) southwest to Fort Portal, passing through the lush Albertine Rift Valley and Hoima. Stop for lunch en route and check in to your lodge in the late afternoon. Optional evening crater lakes tour around Fort Portal.
Dinner & Overnight: At your preferred lodge in Fort Portal
After breakfast, drive south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stop en route for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This is one of Uganda’s top wildlife experiences, with high chances of seeing hippos, buffalo, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. After lunch, continue your drive to Bwindi, arriving in the evening.
Overnight: At your preferred lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast and briefing at the park headquarters, set off into the Bwindi Forest for your gorilla trekking experience. Hike through dense jungle terrain (1–6 hours depending on gorilla location) until you reach one of Bwindi’s habituated mountain gorilla families. Spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for the evening.
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Kihihi Airstrip for your scenic domestic flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, connect to your international flight or continue with onward travel.
