Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up at 6:00 AM from your hotel, followed by a scenic drive north to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, nestled between the foothills of the Aberdare Ranges and Mount Kenya. This world-class conservation area is one of Kenya’s most successful private wildlife sanctuaries and a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
Upon arrival, enjoy a 3-hour guided game drive through the conservancy’s diverse habitats. Ol Pejeta is home to an exceptional range of wildlife, including all members of the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino. The conservancy is also the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees, housed at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary — a rescue and rehabilitation project run in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute.
After the morning game drive, you’ll head to Serena Sweetwaters Lodge for lunch (optional, at an extra cost). Relax and dine as you watch animals gather at the waterhole just meters away — an unforgettable setting for a meal in the wild. For a truly rare experience, a visit to see the last two remaining northern white rhinos can be arranged at an additional cost, offering a powerful glimpse into global conservation efforts.
Following a leisurely lunch and optional afternoon game drive, you’ll depart Ol Pejeta and return to Nairobi in the late afternoon, arriving with memories of a truly extraordinary day in one of Kenya’s most inspiring wildlife reserves.
